Is it dangerous ?

No. It is of course out of the question to test everything on human volunteers : all these studies are done under very strict conditions, ruled among others by the Helsinki declaration and the European directive of 4th April 2001 and its implementation in national law. In addition, each study must be subject to the agreement of a multidisciplinary ethical committee composed of doctors, lawyers and ethics specialists.

Nethertheless, risk zero doesn’t exist… even when you cross the street ! If a study presents any risk, the researcher must inform you clearly and you will of course be allowed to refuse to take part in the study or to withdraw from it. In addition, the laboratories will systematically examine the indication and contra-indications related to your participation in the study.
