Volterys recognizes the application of :

• Directive 95/46/EC on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and its transpositions into national law in EU countries
• The Belgian law of December 8, 1992 on the handling of personal data for all the handling and collecting of data carried out in Belgium
• The law « Computing and Freedoms » of January 6, 1978 for all the handling and collecting of data carried out in France
• The federal law on the protection of data of June 19, 1992 for all the handling and collecting of data carried out in Switzerland.

Furthermore, Volterys has behaved by a declaration close to the Belgian Commission for the Protection of Private Life (n° VT400242).

The registration as a researcher or volunteer is done freely and in the strictest respect for your private life. The only identification data asked from volunteers are their first name, an assumed name, their postal code, their country, an e-mail address and a telephone number of contact. The identification of the researchers is complete and verified (obligation of means). We guarantee you that any information of a personal nature concerning you will not be removed, preserved, manipulated or transmitted, behind your back, outside the strict Terms of Service of Volterys. We commit ourselves to keep the information that you confide to us strictly confidential and we forbid ourselves from commercializing it behind your back or otherwise placing it at the disposition of a third party outside of the exchanges of contact information that you would have previously accepted. If you wish to keep the information strictly secret, we ask you not to mention it on this site.

You may, at any time, modify or delete the data concerning yourself in our records. These operations can be performed by your care, in the sections « Administration » and « Your profile » of your personal space, or on simple request addressed to the overseer of handling, Dr. Laurent Hermoye. A confirmation of handling requested will be sent within five days of your request.
